Things you might not know about Nigel Humphries: he dreams about flying (but doesn’t like aeroplanes), his pet chickens roam his art studio, and his superhero name would be Star Speed. Now you’ve been formally introduced, we’d like to welcome you to his adorable miniature family.

Following in the giant footsteps left by Marvel legend Stan Lee, Nigel hopes to bring joy to his collectors by depicting superheroes (and villains!) we know and love. For his latest release, he takes on everyone from the evil Thanos to the mysterious Doctor Strange – with Rocket & Groot coming along for the ride.

Bringing good to the world

“I feel very lucky to spend my days doing something that I absolutely love,” says the former IN:SIGHT finalist. “I wanted to incorporate a powerful pose for each character. For example, Flash is bursting through the paper to emphasise action and speed – creating lots of movement.”

The collection also saw Nigel push himself as an artist. He explains: “’The Panther’ was a challenge to paint because of the detail within the costume. It was a good exercise to work with a limited colour palette, as my work usually incorporates a lot of colour.”

As for Nigel’s favourite character? It’s got to be Spider-Man. He says: “He’s a normal, everyday guy who tries to bring good into the world.”
