With the new year came a brand-new series of exciting collection releases. There were no post-festive blues at Castle HQ as we followed on from a spectacular 2018, which saw the launch of Billy Schenck’s The New West and Emma Grzonkowski’s Eden.
Our jam-packed events and launches saw something for everyone: the weird and wonderful Eccentricus Britannicus by Peter and Jayne Smith tickled fans nationwide, while the stunning skyscapes of Richard Rowan ignited some serious wanderlust! With more of us than ever logging into social media accounts each day, Hamish Blakely experimented with the narcissistic styles of modern life. From Johannes Vermeer’s ‘Girl with a Pearl Earring’ to Banksy and Mickey Mouse, these original artworks see him experiment with Neoclassicism, Romanticism and Pre-Raphaelite styles.

Ahead of the official launch, Peter and Jayne toured the UK to present their raucous release, Eccentricus Britannicus. Starting off in Meadowhall, they left guests wowed and astonished by the risqué collection. Intrigued to find out more? From the twilight horizons of Thailand to the frosty mornings of Surrey, Richard Rowan’s Twilight collection captures the ethereal crossover between light and dark, night and day. Glowing beneath each artwork is a story and musical soundscape, which enchanted visitors during his artist appearance at our Milton Keynes gallery.

Since wowing the judges of our 2016 IN:SIGHT competition, Nigel Humphries' adorable miniature superheroes have wowed collectors around the globe. In 2019, he launched his chart-topping Mixtape collection, which features musical superstars from across the pop and rock 'n' roll genres.
