“One client was particularly drawn to the original ‘The Rule of Three’ by miniature sculptor Nic Joly. We were chatting about how Nic always lives each day to the fullest, and she turned to me with tears in her eyes.  

“She told me that her husband had passed away very suddenly a few years earlier, leaving her and her three young children devastated. He believed in the same philosophy as Nic: to live each day as if it is your last, and to always go after your dreams. After she lost him, she always tried to see things in the same way.  

“The week before he died, her husband had taught their children how to fly kites, and when she saw the figures flying the butterflies in Nic’s piece, it really hit home and she felt it was all meant to be.

“I honestly had to choke back tears. When she left, she gave me a massive hug and wanted to thank Nic for helping to keep her husband’s memory alive. It’s one of those interactions that don’t come along very often and reinforced how powerful and special this job is.”
