Globally-renowned artist Lorenzo Quinn treated fans to a rare appearance when he joined us at our gallery in Birmingham’s International Convention Centre.
Known for his powerful hand sculptures, Lorenzo has captivated critics the world over. His large-scale exhibitions include Support: a 30ft installation that emerged from the historic Ca’ Sagredo Hotel in Italy as part of Venice Biennale 2017 and made the list of the year's 'most Instagrammable' artworks.
And on Wednesday, he created a buzz when he arrived at our gallery to talk us through his ground-breaking art. Guests chatted to Lorenzo about his ideas and techniques while enjoying tasty nibbles and bubbly!
Assistant gallery manager, Karen Johnson, said: “It was fantastic to have an artist of Lorenzo’s calibre at our gallery. We’re glad so many of our collectors could meet one of the most exciting contemporary artists of today.”
