Sonic the Hedgehog reimagined for the 21st century
Since speeding onto our screens in 1991, Sonic the Hedgehog has captured the hearts of video gamers worldwide. In February 2020, the blue-haired powerhouse returned in the live-action animation film, Sonic the Hedgehog.
Directed by Jeff Fowler and starring Ben Schwartz as the titular character and Jim Carrey as the evil Dr Robotnik, the $95 million movie saw a more realistic version of Sonic, complete with fur and even new running shoes! In honour of its release, we caught up with our record-breaking 2016 Sega collection, which celebrated 25 years of 'the fastest thing alive’.
