When Lawrence Coulson dropped by to hand-sign his beautiful new limited edition print, we couldn't resist pinning him down to answer some questions. He revealed the inspirations behind his stormy new scene, his daily routine and much more. Watch the video below for the full interview.

"The texture is mostly in the foreground, and it’s a case of building it up using an acrylic medium," says Lawrence. "It dries very quickly, which is helpful. I use a brush flat against the canvas and tap it on, rather than stroking it on in a downwards slant. This starts to give the effect of individual blades of grass, leaves and branches.
"Once the paint is applied, it’s dry within minutes, and you can start building your colours in. It almost creates the effect of delving into the undergrowth. Everything is an experiment; when you try something, it either works, or it doesn’t. And luckily, this seems to work. Hopefully it’s added another dimension."
