This spring, husband and wife duo Peter and Jayne Smith will be joining us for a series of events across the country to celebrate 20 years with Castle Fine Art! Be the first to preview original and signed limited edition artwork from their brand-new collection, Scoff.
The playful pair will be making a special appearance at our Cardiff, Sheffield, Bluewater and Milton Keynes galleries to reveal the new works ahead of their launch later this year. This collection will invite viewers to reimagine everyday kitchen cupboard essentials through their mischievous lens and will, of course, feature their much-loved fine art characters, the Impossimals!
Each show will also feature a one-of-a-kind original painting created especially for that gallery, celebrating an iconic product from that region. There will be nine hand-finished editions of this unique work available for guests to purchase exclusively at each event.
For the last two decades, the Smiths have been making their collectors smile with their signature satire and desire to rediscover the fun in life. They take instantly recognisable brands and taglines and subvert them with unmistakeable British wit and sarcasm, shining a cheerful light on the everydayness of life and relationships.
Peter and Jayne’s last UK tour was in 2020, but it was unfortunately cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic. So, this is a fantastic opportunity to meet them for the first time in five years and celebrate their 20th anniversary with Castle Fine Art! Plus, anybody who makes a purchase on the day will receive a special written dedication from the duo.
