Engaging children with the arts is a subject close to our hearts, so we couldn't have been prouder to announce that our chosen charity for 2020 was Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity.
We rounded the year off by presenting the hospital with a cheque for £4,541, made possible thanks to the proceeds raised from Jon Jones' limited edition artworks and generous donations from Castle Fine Art staff. We'll also be supporting their soon-to-be announced 'Art Strategy', which will explore the use of art therapy at the hospital. Through this, the hundreds of children who visit the hospital each day will receive an additional focus on their healing and overall sense of well-being.
Our head of marketing, Daniela Quinlan, says: "As a company, we champion the benefits of encouraging children to become involved with the arts. Being a Birmingham-based company, our charity partnership is a source of immense pride for all concerned."
Through contributions from the sale of the Peaky Blinders inspired collection from Jon Jones, we have been able to contribute to the hospital's 'Out To Play' appeal.
The much-needed renovation of the children's playground has created an interactive playground with slides and toys. It was opened with a special ribbon-cutting event in 2019.
