It's the July 27th, 1976 and John Lennon's application to remain in the U.S. as a permanent resident has been approved; consummating his love for New York City.
Inspired by their father’s vinyl collection and love of music, this original artwork brings the relationship between art and music to the forefront as well as the Bisaillon Brothers’ interest in mid-20th century pop culture. It combines a photograph of John taken in 1974, an older photograph of the iconic New York skyline, and a unique code written by Michael Bisaillon to spell ‘JohnLennon’.
This complex amalgamation of 20th and 21st century media is emblematic of their Pop Collection which also sees Jeffrey Bisaillon’s abstract application of paint. The bright colours of the piece combine with its serene resin texture to add a vibrant and modern splash to any home.

Influenced by pop and street artists like Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat, the duo evoke an exciting commentary on the pop culture of today and the mid-20th century. New technology, iconicism, globalisation and social media are given a modern interpretation through digital art, vibrant colours and bold brushwork.
The brothers have a unique, hands-on approach to creating their art. All of the pieces are mixed media and incorporate a range of mediums, including canvas, wood, paint, pen, resin, spray paint, digital imagery and even building materials.

Every piece of art is mounted, glazed or framed by hand, with our bespoke framing service selected by our creative department.
