As the winner of the People’s Choice Award at IN:SIGHT 2017, we are delighted to present the photographer’s debut collection. The body of work saw Matthew travel to Italy, Germany and France to capture the world’s most beautiful abandoned buildings.

He explains: “I am drawn to the beauty of places that nature has claimed back.”

This image was taken at a stripped-out church in East Germany, in the grounds of a hospital occupied by the Nazis during World War Two.
