Castle Fine Art is thrilled to announce the next edition of the Marvel Legacy collection of comic book art signed by the late, great Stan Lee, the iconic American writer, editor and former president and chairman of Marvel Comics.The Standard Editions in this series are presented in a modern black frame, there are only 99 pieces of each image in this size available, all hand-signed by Stan Lee.

Anyone who knows their comic book history is aware of the importance of Stan Lee in the company’s development, so to own one of these incredible limited edition pieces is to own a rare piece of the Marvel legacy, especially as Stan signed so few artworks. He collaborated with several comic book artists, most notably Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko, and went on to co-create Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, The X-Men, Iron Man, Thor, The Silver Surfer, The Avengers and many more fictional characters who are an integral part of our popular culture today, even decades after they were launched.
The Legacy Collection commemorates not only the extraordinary triumphs of the characters, but also those of the original superhero behind them: the late, great Stan Lee. Hand-signed by the Marvel Comics legend, each of these limited edition artworks captures the illustrations of some of the most acclaimed comic book artists of all time.
This desirable collection continues Stan’s legacy, showcasing his most iconic creations in limited edition pieces which echo the vivid colours and dynamism of the original large-scale artworks. Each one has been created by a specialist atelier team whose skilled techniques capture the fine details of the original works, including the meticulous shading and ink strokes that added a new dimension to the costumes, weapons and explosive fight scenes.
Providing a snapshot of the early modern era of Marvel Comics, these adrenaline-filled scenes are taken from unforgettable story arcs, both triumphant and tragic.
