Depicting strong powerful women across two centuries, the Bisaillon Brothers newest collection is this first of its kind release for the iconic pop art duo. Inspired in Haute Couture and high-end fashion publications, the Icon series, part of the Pop Collection, is truly a celebration of strong women with four different polychromatic limited-edition artworks. Fashion magazines, which have celebrated freedom in all forms supporting movements and revolutions that would shatter cultural myths of society, serve as a blank canvas for the New York artists, who take in the inspiration to create the mix media limited editions.
Inspired in high-end fashion publications, the headline and the publication month and price were strategically placed to resemble the famous glamourous magazines. The attention to detail paired with the bright colours and the pop art themes elevate the artwork to statement pieces in any setting. The strategic placement of black and white in certain areas make the colours pop, bringing the artwork to another dimension.
The Pop Collection is an intermediary between iconic imagery and culture and the brother’s roots with the abstract and thematic elements. This beautiful fusion utilizes the world around us in the form of iconic people we love or brands that enhance our life experience to create breathtaking pieces. Each piece has a red code distinctly defining the brother’s trademark but also hitting at the increasing commercialisation of most things. Part signature, part emblem, part symbol, the red code has become a signature for the artists alongside their unique trinary code that, once decoded, reveals a word specific to each piece.

Influenced by pop and street artists like Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat, the duo evoke an exciting commentary on the pop culture of today and the mid-20th century. New technology, iconicism, globalisation and social media are given a modern interpretation through digital art, vibrant colours and bold brushwork.
The brothers have a unique, hands-on approach to creating their art. All of the pieces are mixed media and incorporate a range of mediums, including canvas, wood, paint, pen, resin, spray paint, digital imagery and even building materials.
In 1995, we opened our first-ever gallery in Stratford-upon-Avon. With just one goal in mind - to make our art accessible to all - our fledgling company began to spread its roots.
Every piece of art is mounted, glazed or framed by hand, with our bespoke framing service selected by our creative department.
Our foundations are built on a passion for art, and many of our staff (and collectors!) have been with us from the very beginning.
