A well-known Turkish proverb says, "A lion sleeps in the heart of every brave man." Likewise, wildlife photographer and autism activist, Alfie Bowen, says that his "art has given [him] a voice when I didn’t have one before". His childhood experiences of bullying and isolation due to his autism pushed Alfie to discover this strength in wildlife photography which has since been retold on BBC Earth, in a feature-length documentary and in his upcoming September 2021 book.
Bold and unapologetic, the dark eyes and fur of the lion stand out with a timeless elegance in this hand-signed giclée print on 300gsm museum paper. Mounted and framed in black painted pine and spruce, the monochromatic colours of this piece create a "stronger emotional impact" and will make the perfect addition to a wide range of home styles. You can even combine this dazzling artwork with the others in Alfie's collection Call of the Wild.

Likening his camera to a paintbrush, wildlife photographer Alfie Bowen draws upon his experiences of autism and bullying to create startling monochromatic photographs of the animal kingdom. His debut Call of the Wild collection includes his latest limited edition prints of a flamingo, elephant, lion and zebra on museum-quality paper.
In 1995, we opened our first-ever gallery in Stratford-upon-Avon. With just one goal in mind - to make our art accessible to all - our fledgling company began to spread its roots.
Every piece of art is mounted, glazed or framed by hand, with our bespoke framing service selected by our creative department.
Our foundations are built on a passion for art, and many of our staff (and collectors!) have been with us from the very beginning.
