Taking inspiration from David Hockney, Jackson Pollock and Anselm Kiefer, Scarlett Raven – in collaboration with Marc Marot – has showcased nature and its symbolism in this latest collection, The Eye of Heaven Shines.
Speaking of her paintings, Scarlett says each one is a learning experience; this collection shows a devotion to examining how trees grow and interact in their environment.
She adds: “I’ve always seen nature as reality and raw truth. I feel more secure in nature than with people, which is why I so often use it to inspire my paintings.”

Scarlett Raven is a contemporary British impressionist whose work is widely recognized for its emotional intensity and heavy texture. Through bold colour, dramatic paint application and vivid scenery, her textured landscape paintings have positioned her as one of the most exciting female impressionists in the UK today. With stylistic influences from Vincent van Gogh, Anselm Kiefer, Gustav Klimt and David Hockney, her emotive works are inspired by her deep personal connection with nature.
