Part of

Mondo Scripto 2026

Selected from a decade of Dylan’s writing, 1964 to 1974, these six works trace an arc through some of the most consequential and formative years of his career: from the deliberate, Civil-Rights-era anthem of ‘The Times They Are A-Changin’’, through the surreal, whimsical imagery of ‘Mr. Tambourine Man’ and the electric ‘Like a Rolling Stone’, which served to redefine the landscape of popular music. The collection continues to move through the development of Dylan’s career, via the near-apocalyptic parable ‘All Along The Watchtower’, the warm, country-inspired tenderness of ‘Lay, Lady, Lay’, and finally, with his parental blessing and ballad ‘Forever Young’. Together, these six songs and illustrations offer fresh insights and a profoundly representative cross-section of Dylan’s writing and some of its universal themes, including protest, romance, lament and fantasy.
