Depicting not only production photographs from the 1967 American crime film Bonnie and Clyde but also images of the real criminal couple, this extraordinary original artwork by the Bisaillon Brothers is a fascinating example of their Pop Simplicity series.
A fusion of their Modern Simplicity series and interest in classic imagery, the Pop Simplicity series explores iconic photographs from the mid-20th century and the cult of the celebrity through a contemporary lens. By breaking up such recognisable imagery with the brothers’ own coloured “lightwells”, the Warholian notion of an individual lost behind their own image in popular culture is reignited in an unprecedented and beautiful way.
This original artwork features a glossy, resin finish with exceptional pops of colour that will add a contemporary touch to any wall.

Influenced by pop and street artists like Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat, the duo evoke an exciting commentary on the pop culture of today and the mid-20th century. New technology, iconicism, globalisation and social media are given a modern interpretation through digital art, vibrant colours and bold brushwork.
The brothers have a unique, hands-on approach to creating their art. All of the pieces are mixed media and incorporate a range of mediums, including canvas, wood, paint, pen, resin, spray paint, digital imagery and even building materials.
In 1995, we opened our first-ever gallery in Stratford-upon-Avon. With just one goal in mind - to make our art accessible to all - our fledgling company began to spread its roots.
Every piece of art is mounted, glazed or framed by hand, with our bespoke framing service selected by our creative department.
Our foundations are built on a passion for art, and many of our staff (and collectors!) have been with us from the very beginning.
