Part of his series, The Beaten Path, The Silkscreen Collection, ‘Mountain Road’ sees Dylan continue his visual chronicle of the American heartland.
Within the impressive scale of this artwork, the viewer’s eyes are drawn to the intricate brushwork across the entire breadth of the artwork’s three panels. In this layered landscape, Dylan has created a warm pastel sky that envelops snow-capped mountains in the distance.
These contrasting tones and light effects could place us at dusk or dawn, nestled amongst evergreens as we approach this beautifully confronting scene. A departure from some of Dylan’s more arid landscapes, ‘Mountain Road’ feels bracing, yet tranquil.
“For this series of paintings, the idea was to create pictures that would not be misinterpreted or misunderstood by me or anyone else. The common theme of these works is having something to do with the American landscape – how you see it while crisscrossing the land and seeing it for what it’s worth. Staying out of the mainstream and travelling the back roads, free born style.” - Bob Dylan

An original work of art is a one-off piece - painting, sculpture, mixed media - which is made by the artist themselves. When you buy an original piece of work, it comes with the knowledge that you own something incredibly special; almost a piece of the creator themselves. A limited edition is a translation of an original piece and there is a fixed number of these made. The piece will be signed by the artist, and the edition number will show you which number in the series you have purchased. Read more about the different types of art we sell here.
We do offer an installation service should you need assistance. You can contact our art consultants for further information here. Please note that this is currently only available in mainland UK.

Each triptych is created by a specialist atelier team using over 80 layers of silkscreen that faithfully evoke the textured brushstrokes made by Dylan in his original painting.
Each panel of the triptych is individually created using the serigraphy method. Each of the 81 colours is carefully transferred in independent layers in a highly manual process that requires time and precision. This means that one edition can take up to four months to print in total.
Each individual colour is hand-pulled and then checked by the specialist team. Once the artwork is complete, the same team observes the entire triptych meticulously to check for consistency and quality, before it is hand-signed by Bob Dylan.
The framing style has been specially selected to complement the artwork. Each artwork is float mounted before the moulding is cut to size and assembled into a frame. The artwork is then glazed using museum-grade, non-reflective glass to provide full UV protection and anti-reflection for picture clarity. Heavy-duty strap hangers are then fitted for precise hanging and the certificate of authenticity is attached to the rear of the frame.
This entire process is carried out by hand, using museum-grade materials, to ensure the finest quality and attention to detail is given to each individual artwork.
UK orders will receive free delivery and complimentary home installation by our professional team, who are experts in handling our artwork.
International orders will feature museum acrylic, as opposed to glass, to avoid damage in transit, and will be packaged with reinforced card and corner protection. International shipping is free and clients will incur no customs/import duties. The fulfilment time for international orders is 6-8 weeks.
As one of the most influential artists of all time, Bob Dylan has sold more than 125 million records. His contribution to worldwide culture has been honoured with many awards. These include an Academy Award for his song 'Things Have Changed', along with 10 Grammy Awards and a Special Citation Pulitzer Prize for his “profound impact on popular music and American culture”.
