We've been championing the careers of artists for 25 years and were thrilled to welcome the wildlife photographer Alfie Bowen to the Castle Fine Art family. From overcoming acute adversity in his teenage years to becoming a signed artist, Alfie's story is truly inspirational.
In April 2021, we released Alfie's debut collection with Castle Fine Art. Call of the Wild represents the 22-year-old's struggles with autism and the passion for protecting animals that saved him during his darkest moments. It's an exciting time for the artist, who is rapidly becoming a firm favourite with the British media and will release his first book in September 2021. Turning his experience of bullying into a determination to help others, he now works with organisations such as WWF to raise awareness for wildlife, alongside championing support for autism and mental health.
For Alfie, his new release is a sign of how far he has come. He told us: "After many years of social exclusion as a result of my autism, I have finally found my calling. Call of the Wild celebrates the results of a ten-year journey from bullied teenager to renowned artist. I am a dreamer, and I am living my dream."
