In this beautifully macabre wall sculpture, we see artist Dan Lane twist natural forms through mechanical intervention whilst also incorporating bold symbols of peace, love and prosperity. The result is a graphic pop of colours and textures that resemble a monumental tarot card. 

Dan says: “I love the idea of having something beautiful like a butterfly or hummingbird try to find its place and break out of the mechanical worlds I create.”

Highly influenced by nature, many of his pieces feature flowers, insects and birds. His original art, like the above, is hand-painted, sprayed and polished in his studio. From making his own acrylic sheets to creating moulds and sculpting in clay, each piece is born of experimentation. As a wall sculpture, it is also the perfect way to add a detailed centre-piece to your wall; either as a statement or surrounded by other artworks to create a gallery wall.
